CMS Backoffice (Microfrontends)

Overview & Business Purpose

The CMS Backoffice is a highly modular, scalable content management system built using microfrontends. This approach allows for a flexible architecture where different teams or independent units can work on different parts of the system, ensuring rapid development and easier management as the system grows.

Technology Choice (Why we chose this framework)

We adopted a Microfrontend architecture for its ability to scale and enable modular development. By breaking down the CMS into smaller, independently deployable pieces, we reduce complexity and allow for parallel development across teams. This architecture is ideal for large organizations with different departments managing various aspects of the CMS.

Features & Integrations

As part of the CMS we currently offer three modules, each with their own microservice:

• Tips & Stories: Blog-like content, consisting of combinations of rich text, images or other media.
• Promotions: Content with scheduling, CTAs and links to internal entities.
• Inbox: Messages and notifications, sent either to specific users or groups. Possibility of delayed delivery and history of all sent messages.

Access to the app is restricted and managed by Keycloak. Demo of the Simple CMS is not currently publicly available, as it influences the Tips & Stories sections within the other Demo apps. If you are interested in our microfrontend demo, please, contact us.
